Shae’s Sweets and Things is a registered Cottage food bakery that specializes in southern style desserts throughout the Indianapolis area.
Created by Tiesha La Shae, also known as Tiesha Vaden, in 2019, Shae’s Sweets and Things is a home bakery that is ServSafe certified and operated under the Cottage Food Law in Indianapolis, according to the website. The business offers a wide variety of made-to-order baked goods for birthdays, showers and other special events — including cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies and cobblers.
Specialty desserts include banana pudding, jumbo cinnamon rolls, muffins, lemon bars, pound cakes, cakesicles and yeast rolls.
“We hope you enjoy our homemade sweets, made with love and quality ingredients,” the website states. “Shae’s Sweets is the perfect addition to any occasion, from birthdays to Sunday dinners, our desserts will leave you wanting more.”

Many of Shae’s desserts are award winners, such as her Blueberry pie, which won second place at the 2025 Hendricks County fair, and her strawberry cheesecake and yellow cake with chocolate frosting, which won second place and third place respectively at the 2026 Indiana State Fair.
Shae’s Sweets and Things sells goods throughout the Indianapolis area, including at the Pike Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays and Fishers Farmers Market on the second and fourth Saturdays.
For online orders, Shae’s Sweets and Things offers two pick up locations, including the MCL Cafe parking lot at 2370 W 86th St. and Factory Arts District Parking lot at 1125 Brookside Ave.
