ROCKaBLOCK is a lifestyle brand that makes apparel, home goods and art prints highlighting Black culture.
Artist Rockland Page founded ROCKaBLOCK in 2017 from the basement of his Northwest Indiana home.
“Our collection of apparel and accessories highlight the richness and depth of Black culture through thought-provoking design,” ROCKaBLOCK’s website stated.
According to the company website, Page had already been an accomplished graphic designer working for publications such as Ebony & Jet Magazines as well as the Chicago Tribune, but he desired more from his career than just a paycheck.
Page started designing T-shirts initially as a creative hobby. This hobby later grew into a full-blown business that would gain a significant following in the Indiana and Chicagoland areas. Page later decided to move operations out of his home and opened his first brick and mortar shop in Merrillville, Ind.
Customers and guests can now visit ROCKaBLOCK at its new location near downtown Indianapolis. The shop’s collections of graphic t-shirts, home goods and art prints that are available in-store or in their online catalogue.
