Omar Hasan opened his neighborhood bar and restaurant, The Good Spot, in early 2023 after retiring from the U.S. Navy.
Situated on the outskirts of Fountain Square, Hasan’s dream for The Good Spot was to be “the type of place you want to come and the bartender remembers you by name,” according to the website.
Hasan always wanted to come back to Indy, and said his restaurant felt like a “home away from home,” where it was easy to meet new people who quickly became good friends. Now, The Good Spot aims to be a place where the community can gather for good food, good drinks and good people, the website states.
