Nestled in the heart of Indianapolis, The Garden of Readin’ Book Closet is a vibrant Black- and women-owned bookstore dedicated to celebrating diverse voices and fostering a love of reading in the community.
Founded and operated by the dynamic mother-daughter duo Anna Hall and Bre’Anna Lander, the shop is much more than a bookstore — it’s a welcoming space where readers of all ages can find stories that inspire, educate and uplift.
The Garden of Readin’ offers a carefully curated selection of books spanning children’s literature, young adult fiction, adult fiction and nonfiction and titles by Black authors and other underrepresented voices. Store hours are:
- Wednesday to Friday: 5:30- 9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
