Nestled in the heart of Indianapolis, The Garden of Readin’ Book Closet is a vibrant Black- and women-owned bookstore dedicated to celebrating diverse voices and fostering a love of reading in the community.
Founded and operated by the dynamic mother-daughter duo Anna Hall and Bre’Anna Lander, the shop is much more than a bookstore — it’s a welcoming space where readers of all ages can find stories that inspire, educate and uplift.

The Garden of Readin’ offers a carefully curated selection of books spanning children’s literature, young adult fiction, adult fiction and nonfiction and titles by Black authors and other underrepresented voices. The physical store is located at 8601 E 10th St.
Store hours are:
- Wednesday to Friday: 5:30- 9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
