Paco’s Taqueria stands out as an example of entrepreneurial perseverance and growth within Central Indiana.
The restaurant’s roots trace back to founder Seni Gonzalez, who immigrated to the United States from Mexico at 14 in pursuit of economic opportunity, according to the official website. After initially settling in Chicago, Gonzalez eventually relocated to Indianapolis, where she pooled her savings with a friend to launch the business originally as Paco’s Tacos in 2014.
The food at Paco’s features many traditional Hispanic dishes.
“Our menu pays homage to all aspects of Mexican cuisine, from the bustling markets of Mexico City and the vibrant alleys of Oaxaca,” the restaurant’s website states. “Boasting succulent meat, fresh toppings, and plenty of options to please even the most discerning eater, we have something to feed every person at the table.”
Notable dishes found at Paco’s include tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas and more. The eatery also serves breakfast.
What originated as a small, independent operation with a single cook has since flourished into a multi-location powerhouse. Paco’s Taqueria operates four bustling brick-and-mortar locations across the city, anchored by its highly trafficked storefront at 4390 North Keystone Avenue.
In addition to the 4380 North Keystone Avenue location, Paco’s Taqueria also has locations on the west and south side of Indianapolis.
