Minority Business Highlight: Marigold Clothing

Marigold Clothing is a women-owned boutique in Indianapolis’ Broad Ripple Village neighborhood.

This business sells a mix of women’s clothing, accessories and gifts.  The business also has a section on their website that directs customers to their YouTube channel to help with outfit ideas.

“We search far and wide to bring you cool, funky, artistic choices you won’t find anywhere else, including local artists and sustainable goods,” the company’s website states. “Our shop is all about ‘Slow Fashion:’ styles and product quality that stand the test of time  — no throwaway fast fashion and worrying about passing trends that don’t last. Style is what you make it!”

Linda Shikany and her niece Elizabeth Shikany are the owners of this business. Since the store opened in 1989, the clothing store has moved from its original location on Guilford Ave. to Cornell Ave. in 2009.

Customers can browse Marigold Clothing’s catalogue online or visit in-person.

Marigold Clothing is located at 6512 Cornell Ave. For more information visit marigoldclothing.com.
